Revision in Coggins (EIA) testing fee

Director, NRCE with the approval of Institute's Management Committee has approved the revised testing fee for EIA (Coggins) testing @ Rs. 250.00 (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty only) per sample (samples received individually) for indigenous equines and equines belonging to non-profit making organizations like EFI, IPA, mounted police, BSF, ITBP etc. instead of Rs.1000.00. The decision has been taken in order to encourage more frequent disease testing among indigenous equines and also to promote the development and conservation of indigenous equine populations. It should also be ensured that sera samples are collected by qualified veterinarian and the sample(s) is/are submitted with full details of animal (age, sex, identification, place of origin and ownership etc.).
