Dr. S.C. Yadav born on 01.01.1958 in district Etah (U.P.) had aquired Bachlor and Masters Degree in Zoology from Agra College, Agra. During 1985, he has been awarded Ph. D. degree from Agra University, Agra.

Prior to joining Council’s service, Dr.Yadav worked as Jr. Scientist w.e.f. September 1981 under ICAR administered research project on goats at RBS College Agra. He entered in ICAR services through ARS during 1986 as scientist, and posted in the division of Parasitology, IVRI, Izatnagar, Bareilly. He was promoted to the post of Sr.Scientist in 1998 at the same Institute. During 2003 he was transferred to NRC on Yak, Dirang (Arunachal Pradesh) and since July 2005 he is serving this Institute.

Dr. Yadav has vast experience of research, teaching and training in the area of immunity and immunodiagnosis of parasitic disease of domestic animals. Beside teaching to post-graduate and doctoral students, Dr. Yadav has also credit to guide several M.V.Sc. students as Chairman, and Member Advisery Board of five student each of M.V.Sc. and Ph.D respectively. The work initiated/conducted by him and under his guidance on Cathepsin-L-cysteine protease for diagnosis of fasciolosis has been recognized nationally, internationally and awarded by various scientific associations i.e. Indian Society of Parasitology (ISP), Indian Association Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (IAAVP). As FAO fellow he visited Monash University Melbourne Australia during 1999 for advance training in the area of Molecular biology. On his return, under collaborative programme with Monash University during 2000-2002, Dr.Yadav has distinction in earning foreign exchange for the Government through export of biological research material matching international standard worth several thousand dollars. Dr. Yadav has more than 45 research papers in various reputed national and international journals of his credit.

Currently Dr. Yadav is involved in development of sensitive and specific diagnostic tests against equine Trypanosomosis and Piroplasmosis using latest immunological/molecular biological tools.
